Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s blog post, I will be sharing some of my insights about balancing the Golden energy of Leo and Silvery energy of Cancer, through my work with Sidereal and Vedic Astrology!
I view this as an energy balance of coming into an Alchemical expression of balance. This may even be why I have felt so compelled to write about Alchemy so much, as of late. As I grow and evolve, working on the Alchemical balance within myself, on my own Soul Alchemy, through greater awareness of my Sidereal and Vedic Astrological charts, I desire to write about Alchemy more and more! It really does seem that each facet of my spiritual practice and my work finds ways to intertwine with new aspects of study with which I am currently engaged. This is one of the things I love the most about being on a magickal and spiritual path, to be honest.
The study of Sidereal and Vedic Astrology has definitely inspired me to learn to balance different aspects of myself. The Solar and the Lunar, the extroversion and the introversion, the Leo and the Cancer. While Cancer is my ascendant, Leo is both my Sun and Moon, further entwining this Golden energy with this Silvery energy! I have found that understanding how each of these energies impacts my personality also aids me in understanding how others perceive me.
For instance, I have long been told that I have a Sunny energy, full of warmth, and I also know that I have a Golden Aura, which lends to that Leo energy. However, I have also often been perceived as soft, as kind and nurturing, with co-workers, back when I worked day jobs, comparing me to Snow White and being truly stunned if I ever uttered a curse word. That soft energy that reminds others of Snow White definitely aligns with the soft maternal nature of Cancerian energy! Then there is the way that I have had people often compare me to mystical Fae beings, like Elves, Faeries, and Mermaids, which I think can be seen as a balance point between the Leo and Cancer energy. Elves, Faeries, and Mermaids are ethereal and otherworldly, in a softly Cancerian way, but they are also alluring and even seductive in a way that relates more to Leo energy.
So, yes, I have found that there is much self-understanding to be found by studying my birth chart, especially when I look into Sidereal and Vedic placements. Over this last year of studying Sidereal and Vedic Astrology, I have come to realize that these more accurate calculations, which have evolved as the precession of the equinoxes have changed planetary alignments over the centuries, truly make all the difference. While I would never say that Tropical Astrology is of no use and cannot be of some benefit, it truly felt as if I had a massive awakening when I began to study my chart with Sidereal calculations!

To answer your delightful questions: Recently, my own chart study has been emphasizing the lessons of Saturn—facing limitations to find true mastery. And while I see value in both systems, my personal leaning is toward Sidereal/Vedic astrology as well, for its incredible depth in understanding dharma, life cycles, and the soul’s evolutionary journey through the nakshatras.
