Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   Today’s blog post is a poem about the energy of descent felt during Venus Retrograde!

The Descent of Venus

The time of darkness is at hand

The time to go within the inner land

Venus has made her descent

Now, I shall make my own

The descent into the Shadow

The descent into the self

Oh, this journey is one I have often walked

For going within is a natural desire

As the darkness eclipses the light

Oh, yes, internal work is called for

When the Dark Half of the Year is here

But this is all the more potent

When Venus has made her descent

Energy of internal communion is at a peak

For now is not the time to speak

Now is the time to listen

To confront that which needs to be released

To work through all of the old

So that new fresh energy can be called in

As Venus becomes the Morning Star

Out of the darkness and into the light

Oh, I feel a sense of delight

As I release the burdens of old emotions

And find the pleasure in new inspiration

Yes, the Descent of Venus can be a blessing

When I do not fight the ebb and flow of energy

For that is when I have aligned with her synergy

Old energies have been freed

Shadow issues have been resolved

Oh, how I feel so much lighter now!
