Autumnal Splendor: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I am sharing a poem about the beauty of late Autumn!

Autumnal Splendor

by Maranda Wabik

Leaves of fiery hues grace the trees

Falling to the ground without fail

As the trees slowly grow bare

I feel the shift of energy beyond compare

Pumpkins and apples abound

The scents of cinnamon and clove are all around

It is such a joy to take a walk on an Autumn day

The wind getting crisper

The air getting cooler

The time of cozy warmth drawing me home

Oh, yes, there is so much splendor to be had in Autumn

This liminal season of transition and transformation

Is one that makes my heart warm

Is one that makes my inspiration grow

Is one that reminds me of the joys of childlike wonder

Yes, I am grateful to enjoy Autumnal Splendor each year!

~I hope you have enjoyed this poem.   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
