Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s blog post, I am sharing a poem about Samhain Season on Avalon!
Shadows & Mists
by Maranda Wabik
The Shadow of night
Is quite the sight
As I arrive on Avalon
For the Samhain celebrations
The Mists of Avalon have parted
And I can hear the festivities have started
Sounds of revelry and joy
Sounds of fire crackling
Sounds of music and dance
Oh, how I wish to be entranced
The smell of apples abounds
As the sight of pumpkins surrounds
Walking the starlit path
I find my way through the Faery Forest
Into the Sacred Grove
Oh, I see my Fae friends dancing in the firelight
The bonfire is the only light in the grove
Casting shadows on the Stone Circle
Adding an aura of mystery
As I join my Fae friends in their enchanted revelry
I dance, and I laugh
Joy spreading through my veins
As we await the arrival of the Faery Queen
Who is yet to be seen
Oh, this is a wonderful Samhain night
Which makes my Soul bright
The smile on my face grows wider
As the Faery Queen steps into the grove!
