Bite the Apple?: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I will be sharing a poem about communing with Morgan le Fay!

Bite the Apple?

by Maranda Wabik

The shining Apple on the tree

A Raven’s call to set the heart free

Walking barefoot in the Orchard of Avalon

Smelling the tangy scent of crisp fruit

Knowing that this energy is one to suit

Footsteps heard from behind

A glimpse of Sapphire Blue and Violet

In the mind’s eye

This is the feeling of Morgana’s presence

Turning around

Her entrancing visage abounds

A Priestess Crescent marked on Morgana’s brow

A cloak of Raven feathers surrounds

A knowing smile on the Lady’s face

A smirk of insight and grace

She hands out an Apple bright and fair

Dare you take a bite?

  1. What a beautiful and evocative poem, Maranda! I love how you’ve woven together the sensory details—the tangy scent of crisp fruit, the barefoot walk through the Orchard of Avalon—with the mystical presence of Morgana. The imagery of her Sapphire Blue and Violet energy, the Crescent mark, and the cloak of Raven feathers is absolutely enchanting. That closing question, “Dare you take a bite?” gives me chills in the best way! Thank you for sharing this magical piece.
