Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For this week’s Siren Saturday, I have decided to share another entry in my Incarnated Mermaid Diaries series.   Today’s topic is Changing Leaves, Changing Tides!

As the Wheel of the Year has fully turned towards Autumn, with the Equinox earlier this week, I thought it was the ideal time to discuss the subject of how the changing of the leaves can herald the changing of the tides of life.   You see, to me, Autumn and Spring are Portal times, full seasons of liminality.   I think that is why I feel most alive during those seasons, and why they are my favorites, as they are betwixt and between.   When the Veil is thin, the Fae can more easily make themselves known, just as Ghosts can.   

I think that we can use this energy of the thinning of the Veil and the liminality of these seasons to make greater changes in our own lives!   This could be through timing out certain things that you are planning to fall at auspicious times during the Autumn.   This could be intention-setting rituals to call forth whatever you desire, or this could be releasing rituals to let go of what no longer serves.   All of these things get an extra boost of energy during Portal seasons, in my experience.   You see, even the smallest of desires that you voice ripple outward, causing change, and with Autumn as a season of liminality on your side, you can enhance that energy.

Maybe that is why I spend so much time in late Summer and early Autumn preparing for what I want out of the season.   It is also something I do naturally, as I celebrate my birthday on September 8th, right in that liminal time between Summer fully ending and Autumn officially fully beginning.   After all, a birthday is the ideal time to release the old, hold space for gratitude for all that you have, and welcome in the new!   So, for me, the tone is already set to welcome in greater changes as I enter into the Autumnal season.   However, I think that this is something that anyone can do.   All you need to do is align yourself with the energy of the seasons and allow yourself to experience the natural ebb and flow of energy (just as the tides of the ocean ebb and flow) to guide you!

I find that the seasonal transitions do flow like water, one into the next, with times of liminality in the transitions between each.   Then Autumn and Spring are full seasons where we exist in the liminal.   Oh, yes, this Autumnal season is a time to engage with all of the betwixt and between energy which is so potent at this time!
