Living in the Liminality of Seasonal Transition: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I will be sharing a poem about the liminality of seasonal transition!

Living in the Liminality of Seasonal Transition

by Maranda Wabik

The warmth of the afternoon Sun

Slowly gives way to the chill of the Sunset

The golden glow turns to crisp air

Oh, the time of Summer is near the end

The time of Autumn is dawning fast

Yes, the weather is fair

Yet, soon the leaves will begin to fall

Scent of sunscreen gives way to apple and pumpkin

Notes of Autumnal scents fill the atmosphere

Oh, what a lovely way to be here

There is nothing to fear

In this time of liminality

For much joy can be had

During the transition of one season to the next

Sparkling Sunshine will meet colorful leaves

Crisp air will call for sweaters to don

Slowly the Summer heat will be gone

As we see this liminal transition through

Summer will become Autumn!
