Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For this week’s Siren Saturday, I have decided to share another entry in my Incarnated Mermaid Diaries series. Today’s topic is Embracing the Faery Lifestyle!
For those who may not be as familiar with this blog, the Faery Lifestyle is what I call my way of living. It is a life that embraces the Fae, most especially the Water Fae in my case. It is also a life that embraces the beauty and magick inherent in Nature, seeing the Earth and Seas and every other natural wonder as Sacred. The Faery Lifestyle calls to those who want to build relationships with the Fae, the Mermaids, the Sacred Landscape, the Sacred Waters, and the Faery Queens!
Of course, other than a deep reverence for Nature and the Fae, the Faery Lifestyle is also about energy, creativity, passion, and emotions. There is the aesthetic aspect of the Faery Lifestyle, more so relating to what most people would think of when they hear about lifestyle content. This is the aspect that is about dressing in the way that makes you feel closer to the Fae. This is the aspect that decorates the home and altar with beautiful and mystical items. This is the aspect that delights in make-up and hair care. However, make no mistake, the act of adorning the body and the home with beauty is also Sacred. Sacred Adornment helps draw our physical body and physical space into the energy of the Sacred!
After all, it should not be forgotten that the Faery Lifestyle is deeply entwined with the Celtic Venus, at least the way I live the Faery Lifestyle. The Celtic Venus is an energy held by many Faery Queens and Mermaid Goddesses across Celtic lands. This Venusian energy holds resonance with beauty and pleasure, making the arts of beauty and pleasure just as Sacred as reverence for Nature!
So, yes, my nature as an Incarnated Mermaid has led me on this path to developing a way of living my life full of enchantment. Oh, yes, this way of living is very special to me, and I just adore sharing about my enchanted life and inspiring others to live their lives with a bit more magick!
