Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For this week’s Siren Saturday, I have decided to share another entry in my Incarnated Mermaid Diaries series. Today’s topic is Setting Out to the Beach! Today is the day that my husband and I will be beginning our three-day vacation to the beach. I am so delighted to be going on this vacation this weekend!
There is true magick in finally returning to the shore after a long time away. As someone living in a landlocked state, I truly feel the call to draw closer to the Sea, but I cannot get there as regularly as I would like. I think that some of us Incarnated Mermaids are born in areas that are landlocked in order to spread the watery energy all over the world. While that is a beautiful thing, and I certainly have bodies of water near me, as I was born in an area near a River, I still feel this pull towards the Sea. After all, it is at the Sea that the Mermaid Soul is set fully free!
That is why I was so excited when I brought up the idea of going to the beach this Summer to my husband, and he immediately began looking into dates and places we could drive to. I am truly grateful to my husband for being so happy to take me to the beach! The closer that this trip has come, the more I have felt my excitement mount. I can hear the Mermaids sing in my dreams; I can feel the pull of the tides ever more strongly. Oh, I know that this will be just what I need to recharge my energy and gain inspiration as we get deeper into that liminal time between late Summer and early Autumn!
So, yes, I will be away all weekend, and I could not be happier. Of course, that means that I will not be as available or as responsive to messages the next few days. Even this blog post, and the ones for the next two days, have been scheduled to go live ahead of time so that I can make the most of my holiday. Know that I will certainly respond to any comments when I return, but for now, I bid you adieu, my lovely readers. I hope you have enjoyed this little Mermaidy life update. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
Note on Image: The image at the top of the post is an Incarnated Mermaid Diaries Title Artwork that I created using the Waterhouse painting Hylas and the Nymphs. I found the painting on https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a2/Waterhouse_Hylas_and_the_Nymphs_Manchester_Art_Gallery_1896.15_n2.jpg.
