Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I will be discussing the process of preparing for the short vacation my husband and I will be taking in a little over a week!

We have been planning this vacation for about two months now.   I could not be happier to be taking a few days off to enjoy the beach at the end of Summer, especially since it has been far too long since I have actually gotten to the beach!   That being said, the preparations have been on my mind.

So, that being said, I began to make a list of all that we needed to do before our holiday.   For instance, I had to make sure that we had a sufficient supply of sunscreen, especially with my fair skin.   Then there were the bathing suits and backups for multiple days on the beach.   Of course, given that I work magick with Mermaids so often, I also had to ensure that I had glass bottles to collect seawater, sand, shells, and other beachy items I could use in water magick!   That is just to name a few things I had on top of the list, as I will not bore you with full details.     

Oh, yes, part of my days over the last few weeks have been full of making sure that I have all that we need to make the most of our beach holiday.   We are still working our way through the list of some other last-minute things to prepare.   That is why I made a list early and have worked on it little by little.   After all, I would not want to miss out on the chance to have an enchanted holiday, but also I would not want to forget to bring some of the magick home with me!   Not to mention, planning eases the anxiety that my Type A, perfectionistic, and control-freak side tends to get if I feel unprepared.
