Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I will be sharing a gratitude-filled reflection about my experiences performing Tarot Readings at NEPA Pagan Pride Day Festival 2026, this past Saturday!

I want to begin by thanking the organizers of NEPA Pagan Pride Day Festival for having me back this year.   It was a truly wonderful event to take part in once again, and I already look forward to next year’s fifth annual event.   

So, the day began early, with my husband and I both waking up earlier than we normally would to make sure that everything I needed for the day was in the car.   Luckily, we live close to the park, and we were amongst the first vendors to arrive.   I was delighted to be remembered from the prior year and to find that my vendor location was really good.   They assigned me a spot right in front of one of the pavilions in the park and across from another pavilion, so there was a good bit of foot traffic, especially when people were coming and going from the workshops.   

Just like last year, the organizers of the event were wonderful to deal with and made sure to check up throughout the day to make sure we were doing well, and even that we were staying hydrated in the August heat!   Of course, my set-up took almost no time at all, only about twenty minutes, especially as Andrew and I are getting better at setting up the canopy.   That meant that I had plenty of time to sit and enjoy the fresh air before the event began.   That is one of the nice things about being a Tarot Reader: I only really have to get my tables set and my cards laid out!   During set-up, I ran into one of my clients from last year, who had a booth of her own right across from me.   It was wonderful getting to catch up with her and see that her own business was thriving.   I truly think that it was kismet that we happened to be across from one another.

In fact, over the course of the day, I saw many familiar faces.   Old acquaintances whom I knew from old jobs, people that I spent time with at local Witchy spots in the past, and of course, other vendors who I had seen at Pagan Pride before.   The whole energy of the day was so warm and welcoming.   I felt really at ease once I was set up, all of the nervous energy going into an event having melted away.   I was even more at ease after giving my first Reading of the day!

At one point, I had a photographer from one of the local newspapers ask if he could take photos of me for the story on the event, as he wanted photos of one of the Readers.   I was delighted, and readily agreed!   It was so nice getting the recognition, and he was wonderful while taking the pictures, having me shuffle the cards multiple times to show how a Reading works, and he even asked some questions about Tarot.   Beyond that, I also had some recognition for this blog, and that is so beautiful, to be able to meet readers of the blog in person!

Of course, the main part of my time at Pagan Pride was spent performing Readings for clients.   Just like last year, it was such an edifying experience to be able to help my clients gain some clarity and to offer emotional support!   Seeing how much my words and interpretations resonated with each client in person was a truly lovely thing to witness.   That is why I love performing in-person Readings at events like this; it allows for instant feedback.   Of course, I adore performing my pre-recorded Readings here, as I love that my online clients have a video to look back on and see how much the insights have aligned as time goes on.   So, there are definitely benefits that are unique and special to each type of Reading.   Needless to say, I am beyond grateful that I am able to do this work professionally!
