Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s Mermaid Monday blog post, I am reflecting and meditating on how the Sun warms the Sea and creates a Golden Glow!
Looking up from the Sea’s floor to see the Golden orb above. Oh, how the sight fills the Mermaid with a sense of overwhelming love. The power of the Solar energy is there to create a synergy with the aquatic life below. The Sun is there to warm the waters, providing light and energy to the Sea. Oh, looking at the Golden orb of the Sun is something that sets the Mermaid’s soul free. Oh, yes, Andersen was wrong; Mermaids have souls, and their lives are eternal, not lasting a mere 300 years. Of course, Andersen was writing in a time full of Christian fears.
The Mermaid’s song begins as she feels the water about her warm under the steady thrum of the Sun’s rays. Oh, she could sit in this aquatic cove beneath the waves for days. The Sunlight dances on the Sea floor, creating patterns of light and shadow. It is the perfect surface to Scry, to discover the hidden messages the Sun has for those who live beneath the tides. The saltwater bubbles are ignited with color when the Sun catches them. The sight is similar to the bubbles that human children on land blow as they play when these bubbles of the Sea’s water are caught by Sunlight. Joy overflows from the Mermaid’s heart as she sees this sight, one of such pure childhood delight.
Oh, yes, Mermaids know that childhood play is how one grows. To be simply serious does not heal the woes. One must first heal their inner child. That task is infinitely simpler to accomplish when one feels the warmth of the Sun and seeks to tend the tides of the emotions through watery communion! The Mermaids are here to teach us how to create the magickal potions that will aid us in being our true selves. The Mermaids encourage authenticity and Sovereignty, desiring us to live from our hearts. For when we live from the heart, from the Sea we shall never part!
At Sunrise and Sunset, the Sea is bathed with the Sun’s luminous energy, cresting to a peak. The beauty of the Sun’s glow and the bathing of Pinks, Purples, Golds, Oranges, and Yellows is magnificent. The glow truly puts emotions in the flow. With great heart, we can learn from the Mermaids all of the mysteries held within the place where the Sun meets the Sea, and that will set the soul free!
