Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For this week’s Siren Saturday, I have decided to share the twentieth entry in my Incarnated Mermaid Diaries series.   Today’s topic is Basking in the Sunshine of Optimism!

Now that we are in the height of Summer, it is the time when I always feel pulled to discuss the warmth of Sunshine and optimism.   I think that Incarnated Mermaids, given our deep connection to the emotions, tend towards optimism.   I know that I definitely am known for my Sunny Disposition and for being an Eternal Optimist!   When the Summer Sun is shining above head, I think that everyone tends to feel a little bit lighter and a little more optimistic.   At least that is my experience when I am around others during the Summer, as even the most pessimistic of people are feeling a little bit more hopeful!

So, this is where I bask in the Sunshine.   Instead of being the one shining the light of optimism out to others as I do in Winter, encouraging others to never give up hope, I am able to see the less optimistic people in my life aligning more with my joyful perspective.   I am always happy to see others not lose hope.   The Sun, being more pronounced, has a positive emotional impact on people.   That is why so many people suffer from seasonal depression.    The lack of Sunlight in the Winter leads to people feeling less hopeful and more sorrowful.

Now that we are in the midst of the height of Summer, that is no longer an issue.   We are at the exact opposite of the time when seasonal depression reigns.   There is a lightness in my heart, as I know that others are feeling lighter, so as an Empath, I do not feel the heaviness of depression.   That differs from other times of year, like Winter, when I feel the need to be the light for others, providing a sense of hope.   So, yes, I do feel this lightness from without, as well as within, making for a truly energetic lightness.
