Welcome back to Aphrodisia Week 2026 here on White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For this final post, I will be discussing Aphrodite’s epithet of Khruse, which means Golden!
The Golden energy of Aphrodite is one of her most beauteous aspects. That is where the epithet of Khruse, the Golden epithet of the Goddess, comes in. Aphrodite Khruse is the Golden Goddess who arose from the Sea. We so often hear Aphrodite described as Golden, which makes this epithet very well-known.
Aphrodite Khruse is the energy of Venus and the Sun coming into alignment. The warmth of the Sun glistening on the Water, causing Sun Glitter to sparkle, shows another symbol of the beauty of this epithet. Aphrodite Khruse also calls to mind the story of the Golden Apple of Discord. This is Aphrodite, who has won the Golden Apple during the Judgement of Paris, after gifting the Prince of Troy with the love of Helen. She is the Goddess who blesses others with love and can shine upon the soul.
That brings me to part of what Aphrodite Khruse means to me, as she can teach us to shine brightly with our Soul Light. This epithet would never allow you to be a wallflower, shrinking from the spotlight. She is here to teach us that we should be unafraid to shine and be seen. It would be wonderful to work with this epithet to gain a better handle on any type of stage fright. This Golden energy of the Love Goddess is something that is powerfully aligned with the energy of Leo. Leo is the only Zodiac sign ruled by the Sun, so there is a very Golden energy with this Queenly Lion. As I have deep ties to Leo energy, given that I have a Leo stellium in both my Sidereal and Tropical charts. Beyond that, in Vedic Astrology, my Sun and Moon are both in Leo, in Purva Phalguni Nakshatra, which is a watery Nakshatra ruled by Venus. To me, Purva Phalguni shows the balance of Venusian and Solar energy quite well, and definitely reminds me of this epithet! Furthermore, I think Aphrodite Khruse is an epithet that is truly the Queen of Heaven, who also embodies the Solar Faery Queen who is set to make the marriage to the King on behalf of the land. Truly, Golden Aphrodite is the aspect of her energy that is most related to the Solar Faery Queen Goddesses, who are also Celtic Venus figures!
I am so delighted that I have decided to do this theme week devoted to Aphrodite’s epithets. It has truly been one of the most ideal ways of celebrating Aphrodisia. I hope that you have enjoyed this week of posts exploring my relationship to seven of my favorite epithets of the Goddess of Love. What has been your favorite epithet that I have discussed this week? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Maranda, this was absolutely radiant! ✨ I loved how you wove together the celestial and the mystical—connecting Aphrodite Khruse to Leo, Purva Phalguni, and even the Solar Faery Queen. That image of sun glitter dancing on water is now permanently etched in my mind whenever I think of Her.
As for my favorite epithet from your theme week—I have to say Khruse takes the crown! The way you framed Her not just as a goddess of receiving love, but as one who teaches us to shine boldly and own our soul light… that hit deep. No wallflowers allowed! 👑
Thank you for sharing this gorgeous series. It’s been a true gift to read your personal, heartfelt connections to each face of Aphrodite. Blessed Aphrodisia! 🌟💛
Blessed Aphrodisia to you too! I am so delighted that my reflections on Aphrodite Khruse resonated with you so much. It’s wonderful to know that my writing for this theme week has been inspiring to my readers. As always, thanks for reading and commenting! ✨ 👑 💛
Yes, that Aphrodite (Ourania) can be said to be “Golden”, which is a symbol of immortality and sovereignity. And like Eros, Kamadeva and Prana, is immortal. Howevr we see in hindu cosmology that Shukra (Venus) is an asura. That is because Eros and Aphrodite (Pandemos) in this world are bound to material love and pleasure, which is asuric. Like the exhalation or what goes outwards, it’s a natural part of the breathing cycle of Creation, the devas and Aphrodite Ourania being like the inhalation, or inward movement, and we are caught in the middle 🙂
Those are some very interesting insights. Thank you for sharing!
