Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s Mermaid Monday blog post, I will be discussing some of the things that I will be planning on doing in the Summer, as a Watery Woman, with a Mermaid Soul!
As the weather is fully broken, many of us want to get out and enjoy our Summers. For some people, this may mean swimming in their own backyard pools, frequenting local parks, and taking trips to the beach. Others may prefer to do more indoor activities. For me, I have been thinking about things that I would like to do that are a bit out of the ordinary for me.
Each Summer, I certainly frequent my local park, take walks along the River, and forage in the local forest. This year, I want to prioritize doing more specifically watery activities, in addition to my walks by the River. So, that means that on my list of things I would love to do this Summer, I have going to the local Creek, visiting a local Cave that has boat tours, and visiting Waterfalls not too far away!
All of these are what I am thinking of as Summer Plans for the Watery Witch. Of course, I do not know if I will get to do all of these things, but I wanted to discuss why having a list of desired day trips in mind before Summer gets here will allow you to plan out and prioritize how you will spend your sunshiney days. You see, I am one who likes to plan things and have lists, and I am also someone who would much prefer to get out and do something, have an experience, rather than just purchase items. That is why something as small as going to see a film in theaters is so much more fun than renting it at home digitally, as the experience and spending time with loved ones make it so much better!
I also have a list of secondary activities that I would love to do if time permits. Like visiting other local bodies of water, like Lakes, for instance, and going to the local Aquarium. To be fair, even doing one or two watery activities would definitely make my Summer all the sweeter! So, there is no pressure to get these things done. I think of this as more of an activity wishlist, and it would be great if I could do some of them!
So, now that I have shared some of my Summer Fun Watery Witch Wishlist of Activities, I want to know, what are some of yours? Do you visit the beach each Summer? Do you spend long days at the local pool or waterpark? Or, do you do cleanups of your local waterways? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

What a lovely, inspiring post, Maranda! 💙 I love how you’re embracing your Watery Witch soul and planning experiences over things—that’s such a beautiful mindset. A cave with boat tours sounds absolutely magical, and visiting waterfalls is one of my favorite watery adventures too. I hope you get to check at least a few off your wishlist this summer!
For me, I try to get to the beach as often as I can, and I’ve recently started bringing a small bag to pick up any litter I find along the shoreline—it feels good to give back to the water. Can’t wait to see what other mermaid souls are dreaming up in the comments. 🌊🧜♀️
I am so glad that my post was inspiring for you! I love that you bring a bag to collect litter when you go to the beach, that’s so lovely. As always, thanks for reading and commenting! 🧜🏻♀️ 🌊
