Visiting the Cave of the Ancestors: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I am sharing a poem about communing with the Ancestors by visiting Caves!

Visiting the Cave of the Ancestors

by Maranda Wabik

A darkness envelopes

A small ray of light peeks through

The sound of water dripping

The coolness of the moisture surrounds

I find myself in the dark cool cave

This is the Cave of the Ancestors

This is the cave where the Mermaid’s Grotto resides

The smell of wet stone is all around

I can feel the pull of the ancients

I can hear the sound of water

I can hear the Voices of the Ancestors

So, I sit in the dark and quiet

I sit, and I listen

I sit, and I absorb the information

There is an encouragement to be my true self

I feel so inspired after a dark night of the soul

I feel so inspired to be the Voice

BE THE VOICE OF THE WATERS

I feel so inspired to be the Voice

BE THE VOICE OF THE MERMAIDS

I am beyond grateful to be the Voice!
