Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s blog post, I have an exciting announcement. I have had an essay on Melusine as a Mother Goddess published in Voices from the Grove Volume 7!
I could not be more thrilled to be published for a second time in a row in Voices from the Grove, the annual collection of poetry, prose, and art from the members of the Ogham Grove Facebook Group, edited by Yuri Leitch. As this year’s theme was The Call of Danu, and focused on Celtic Mother Goddesses, I knew I had to share my insights on Melusine as a Divine Mother of Royal Bloodlines! That was what made me decide to submit an essay instead of a poem this year. I thought it would be nice to write about the Mother Goddess aspect of Melusine, especially since that is not an aspect of hers that is discussed often enough, in my opinion.
So, let me finish this up by giving you the basic details. This year’s collection is titled Voices from the Grove: Beltane 2026 to Beltane 2027: The Call of Danu: The Great Mother Goddess of the Celts: Dedicated to Danu, Don, and the Oak Tree. My essay is entitled Melusine as Divine Mother of Lusignan & Mother of Royal Bloodlines! I have just gotten my copy in the mail as I write this, and I look forward to reading all of the other amazing essays and poems in the collection.
I hope you have enjoyed this short and exciting little announcement. I cannot believe that I have another piece published! It is always so beyond exciting to have my voice heard through being published. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
