Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I am sharing a poem about catching sight of scales in water!

Shining Scales in the Water

Scales shine and scales shimmer

Iridescent beauty at a glimmer

The sunlight makes the water sparkle

But that is nothing compared to the shimmer

A tail splashes gaining attention

A sweet and lilting laugh is heard

Oh, yes, I know who is in the water

Stepping closer to the water’s edge

I hear the Siren’s Song begin

A smile graces my face

As I know, this magick is beyond time and space

Oh, there is so much wonder in this place

Walking deeper and deeper into the water

I can feel myself begin to submerge

Delving into a Portal below

And out I come into the Otherworld

Oh, yes, I am in the Water Faery’s Paradise

I am in the Land of the Mermaids

Here I can breathe underwater

Here I have my own Mermaid’s tail

Here I can feel my Soul Glow

When I am in the flow 

In the flow with my Mermaid Sisters

I swim to them, and we dance and play

Casting spells of Water Enchantment and Weather Magick

Delighting in the joyful bonds

Oh, yes, the bonds of Mermaid Sisterhood are forever strong!

Sadly, I cannot remain forever here

For there is another world with people I hold dear

A world where I am meant to be a voice

A world where I can teach the Mermaidenly Mysteries

So, I must return, but I can always rejoin my Mermaid Sisters

In the Sacred Waters and in my dreams!
