Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s blog post, I am sharing another poem about communion with the Sacred Waters!
Swimming in the Waves
by Maranda Wabik
Watery waves lapping against the shore
Seafoam forming on the beach
Oh, I see seaweed’s heavenly reach
The Sea is calling me to commune
The Sea is calling me to attune
The Sea is asking me to preach
The voices of the Sacred Waters
Long to be heard
From all around, the voices abound
All we need to do is listen
And we can hear the voices of the Seas
We can hear the voices of the Rivers
We can hear the voices of the Lakes
We can hear the voices of the Streams
We can hear the voices of the Creeks
We can hear the voices of the Brooks
We can hear the voices of the Springs
We can hear the voices of the Mermaids
We can hear the voices of the Water Fae
We can hear the voices of all the Watery Deities
Oh, yes, when we listen
We can begin to swim in the waves
Of expanded consciousness
We can swim in the waves
Of true oneness
We can swim in the waves
Of our inner truths
Yes, this is what the Sacred Waters ask of us
To be true to ourselves
And to raise our voices in their names!

This is absolutely beautiful, Maranda! 🌊💙 I love how you move from the simple, sensory moment of waves and seafoam into that deep, expansive call to listen—not just to the ocean, but to all the voices of water, from rivers to brooks to mermaids and deities. The repetition feels like a meditation, and the way you build toward “swimming in the waves of expanded consciousness” is so powerful. It’s a lovely reminder that communion with the Sacred Waters is always there, waiting for us to simply pause and listen. Thank you for sharing this!
I am delighted that the poem resonated with you so deeply! Yes, the Sacred Waters are truly always there if we pause to listen. As always, thank you for reading and commenting! 🌊 🧜🏻♀️
