The Flower Bride Comes into Bloom

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s Femme Fatale Friday blog post, I will be exploring Flower Bride energy, which is coming into bloom now, as we transition into Spring!

As the cold, hard earth begins to soften with the Sun warming the world, as the snow finishes melting, nourishing the soil, the Flower Bride is waking from her Winter slumber.   Or, at least she will be very soon.   Can you feel the quickening of the plants in the earth?   Can you feel the warming of the Sun?   Can you smell the blooms of the Flower Bride readying to rise?

For me, this is the time of the year that I always begin to feel more alive.   I adore Spring with all of the transitional energy, the melting of the snow, the blooming of the flowers, and the warming of the land.   The Spring is the time when everything is coming into being again, waking up from a slumber, coming back to life.   So, of course, I feel that I come back to life with it!   I have always said that my favorite seasons are Autumn and Spring, and that certainly has never changed.   What has changed is that I have begun to love them totally equally, while in the past, Autumn won out over Spring, just slightly.

There is much in common with these seasons; there is temperate weather, wonderful smells and sights, and the transition times, the liminality!   Of course, they each are transitioning into different things, Spring into the peak of the light half of the year, and Autumn into the peak of the dark half of the year.   But, oh, how the liminal seasons of Spring and Autumn share the beauty of change when it is most needed.   Autumn heralds the coming in of the cooler weather after the blazing heat of Summer, while Spring brings back the warmer air, ending Winter’s freeze!

Now, many people who know me are quite unsurprised that I adore the Spring, as I am often thought of as a rather joyful person.   Spring is certainly a season full of joy, full of hope!   My sunny and optimistic nature, which my loved ones often mention, is certainly mirrored in the hope for the renewal that Spring heralds.   So, yes, Spring is important to me.   When the energy of the Flower Bride reawakens, although I honestly feel a pull to her energy all year, I feel more alive.

You may wonder, how can I embrace the Flower Bride as we transition into Spring?   Ah, there are many ways to do so!   Firstly, being a lover of stories, I highly suggest reading the tales of Flower Brides.   Read about Blodeuwedd, read about Olwen, read about Guinevere, and read fairytales about love, for they also surely have Flower Bride energy!   After all, Roses play a significant role in both Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast, and what is more attuned to the energy of the Flower Bride than that?    Of course, beyond reading stories, you can quite literally interact more with Flowers to embrace the Flower Bride energy.   Plant a garden, keep more houseplants, drink herbal teas (especially of the floral varieties), create your own tea blends, perform tea rituals with floral blends, and cover your bath with flower petals!   The third and final way I want to discuss embracing the Flower Bride in the lead up to Spring is to allow yourself to rest.   Do not feel guilty for taking a nap, feel comfort in the slow transition of the season, meditate and do yoga more, and just listen to the softly unfolding energy of new beginnings!

Now, to end off this post, I will share some other personal ways I am embracing the Flower Bride and her energy of new and limitless potential this Spring.   Firstly, I am welcoming in the next class of The Melusine Mysteries, as enrollment is beginning on March 13, 2026!   I love that each year I will be welcoming in a new cohort of students to The Melusine Mysteries just as Spring is coming into full swing, as it is an ideal way to tap into the energy of the season.   I am also speaking at the 4th Annual Water Priestess Confluence next week!   I cannot wait to share my lecture on Melusine as a Lady of the Fountain with all of the wonderful attendees.   This is the first time I am speaking at a conference, and that definitely speaks to the newness and unlimited potential of the Spring season and the Flower Bride energy.   Finally, I am also hosting my first-ever book club on Patreon, which will be running from March through June, and we will be reading the whole Practical Magic series in anticipation of the sequel film releasing in September!   This is another ideal way to welcome in the newness of Spring, as it is another first-time event in my life.

I hope you have enjoyed this meditative look at embracing the Flower Bride as we transition into Spring.   What are your favorite ways to welcome in the coming of Spring?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
