Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s Tarot Tuesday blog post, I will be exploring the Queen of Wands and the Knight of Wands, as her lover and her helpmate, and how their archetypes can be utilized in Spiritual Alchemy!   

As my regular readers may know, I have been working very closely with the Queen of Wands energy for the last several months.   The archetype of the Queen of Wands is very Alchemical in her own right.   She is the energy of the Queen who draws others to her like moths to the flame.   In the warm energy of the hearthfire, she creates a pleasant home for the weary soul.   She is the Witch of the Tarot and the Dragon Priestess, there to hold space for you to find yourself in the warmth and soothing atmosphere of her home.   The Queen of Wands combines the energy of Water and Fire, as the Queens are the Water element in the Court cards and the Wands are the Fire suit!   This allows the Alchemical combination of Water and Fire to become a rolling boil within the Cauldron of Inspiration, where you can transform into the best version of yourself.   

Then there is the Knight of Wands, he is the archetype that I often call the energy of the double Fire, or the double Fire card.   While I have heard some Tarot Readers consider the Knights to be Air and Kings to be Fire, I truly consider the Knights to be the Fire element within the Court cards, as they are all about forward momentum and action!   This means that the Knight of Wands is very much the full force action, who is there to bring the Queen of Wands’ aspirations to fruition.   He is her counterpart and her helpmate in the Alchemical process!    For the dreams that the Queen of Wands has, the Knight of Wands will happily take action to make them come true.   The Knight of Wands is full of bravery, never hesitating to jump into the fray, and that is a powerful energy to aid you in alchemizing great change.      

So, this is why the Queen of Wands and the Knight of Wands, in their romantic and Alchemical energy, can work together to create great change and transformation.   They can inspire us to new areas of our Soul development through Spiritual Alchemy (or Soul Alchemy).   I hope you have enjoyed this short look at the Queen and Knight of Wands and their connection to Alchemy.   What other cards inspire you on your journey with Alchemy?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
