Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s post, I will be discussing the huge milestone that I have just hit, as today is the Fifth Anniversary of the White Rose of Avalon Blog!!!
I have to say that I cannot believe that this day is here. When I began White Rose of Avalon as a blog back in 2021, I was looking for a creative outlet and to share my love of folklore, legends, history, fairytales, and magical media with others. At the time, I could not have imagined what this website would turn into! In the very beginning, I was not sharing my Spiritual Journey, with most references to magick left in an academic sense, analyzing media, folklore, and myth. However, it was not long before I began to share my Spiritual Journey, share my own personal connection with magick, and claim the title of Enchantress of Avalon. I officially began going by Enchantress of Avalon in October of 2021, when I began the YouTube channel I run in conjunction with this website!
Over time, the blog grew in following and grew in depth. I began to write more and more through the lens of Magickal Practitioner and Priestess, especially after I finally publicly claimed that title, which I was so scared to claim (feeling unworthy of calling myself a Priestess). In 2023, many changes came, as I began studying in my first herbalism class (I was in the first year of Herbs of Avalon, taught by the amazing Suzanne O’Gara, owner of Alchemy of Avalon). That step, where I was studying a Sacred Priestess Art, is what led me to feel comfortable claiming that title. It is also that class which would give me the confidence to begin offering Tarot Readings professionally through my website. In the beginning, back in 2023, I offered the Readings on a freelance level, as I did not have my LLC yet. 2023 was likewise the year that I applied to become a Member of the Sisterhood of Avalon, and went through my Orientation! So, yes, 2023 was a big year, which laid the groundwork for what White Rose of Avalon would become.
In 2024, I began the Business Herbal Course at the Herbal Academy online, which I completed and received a certificate for in January 2025. In June of 2024, I began my Patreon, Avalonian Rose Faery Mysteries, as an Online Faery Mystery Community. Then it was in July 2024 that I finally applied for my LLC, and I opened the White Rose of Avalon Online Shop in September of 2024! Of course, in the beginning, I was selling Herbal Teas, in addition to my Metaphysical Priestess Services. That would not last long, as the Herbal Teas were not a success, so in the Spring of 2025, I pivoted my business to being a Priestess Business without the inclusion of herbal wares. December of 2024 and January of 2025 saw my first time teaching in-person classes, on Herbal Tea Blending.
In March of 2025, I made one of the most important steps in the history of White Rose of Avalon. That was the month that I opened enrollment for the first round of The Melusine Mysteries, my seven-month-long Online Class devoted to Melusine, which ran from April through October 2025! That class was a phenomenal success, and I am so excited to welcome in a new cohort of students when enrollment begins on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Beyond The Melusine Mysteries, I also vended at my first Pagan Pride Day Festival in August of 2025, and vended at another small Oktoberfest Festival in October of 2025, where I did in-person Tarot Readings. So, yes, 2025 was another huge year, full of challenges and changes. I spent most of the year finding my footing in the first full year of being a Professional Priestess and running my online business. But, I am so glad for all of the challenges and for all of the changes, as they have taught me so many lessons, and made me a better Priestess and a better Teacher of The Melusine Mysteries!
I want to finish by thanking all of my readers, clients, and students for making 2025 a truly transformative and magickal year. I cannot wait to see what 2026 brings for White Rose of Avalon! For now, what I can say is that I have my Practical Magic Book Club beginning on Patreon in March, enrollment of The Melusine Mysteries taking place also in March, and enrollment for my short seven-week class, Lessons from Celtic Mermaids, happening in the Summer. I am so hopeful that each of those will be successful and bring good things for my Patreon Members and Students!
