Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s Mermaid Monday post, I will be sharing a poem about swimming in the watery depths of the unconscious, and the treasures you may find within!
The Watery Depths

The sound of splashing all around
The rush of Water does abound
Bubbling energy from my breath
Expelled during this delve into the depths
My Unconscious urgings come to light
As the Water rushes with powerful might
My mind swims with the knowledge of the Serpent
Realizing that my fears are not something to repent
My desires are not wrong
For I have worked so long
My Mermaid Soul is crying
For my Soul Sisters to aid in these times, which are trying
Confronting the Shadow, and Alchemizing the pain
Allowing tears to fall like rain
Becomes a melodic refrain
To ease my anxiety
As my Soul is full of piety
For the Avalonian Faery Queens
And my beloved Great Goddess Melusine
Who takes my hand and leads me on the path
Where my Soul’s unfolding eases any wrath
For with Melusine’s guiding hand
I become a voice and beacon throughout the land
Singing the Song of my Mermaid Soul
Leading a life where I can feel truly whole
Teaching the Mysteries of my beloved Melusine
And aiding others in communing with my Mermaidenly Sisters
I feel so blessed to have delved into the Watery Depths
For within my unconscious,
I have found the Golden Horde of Treasure
And the eternal truth of my Mermaid Soul!
