Scry the Cauldron: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I will be sharing a poem about Scrying the Cauldron warmed by the breath of the Nine Maidens of Annwn!

Scry the Cauldron

by Maranda Wabik

The fires are lit

The Cauldron simmers

Holding the potion that glimmers

Just by looking onto the Water’s surface

One can divine their true purpose

Scrying the Cauldron of the Nine

Oh, what a task that is truly Divine

The Nine Maidens kindle the flames of the fire

Holding the powerful energy,

Far from finding oneself in the mire

The Nine Maidens provide a synergy

A synergy of Divine Feminine Grace

Oh, how it is needed in this place

Tending the Sacred Vessel

Casting the Faery Glamour

Assuring that Magick is alive in the world

The Nine Maidens of Annwn

Are Priestesses of the old ways

Serving as potent reminders of the ancient days

Priestesses of Water and Priestesses of Fire

Dragon Priestesses to bring us out of the mire

The Enchantment within the Cauldron is rife

With the potent power to gift eternal life!

Will you find the courage to Scry the Cauldron?

Will you find the knowledge of the Maidens of Annwn?

Great blessings are possible when one walks the path,

The winding spiral path which leads to the Cauldron!

  1. What a powerful and evocative piece! Thank you so much for sharing your poem, “Scry the Cauldron.” It truly transports the reader to a sacred, mystical space.

I am deeply moved by the imagery you’ve woven. The “Cauldron simmering,” the “potion that glimmers,” and the “Water’s surface” create an immediate and potent sense of ancient magic waiting to be unlocked. The idea of divining one’s “true purpose” through this act connects the grand, mythical theme to a deeply personal, spiritual quest.

The portrayal of the Nine Maidens of Annwn is absolutely magnificent. You’ve given them such a vibrant and vital role—not just as mythic figures, but as active, powerful agents of magic. The phrases “Dragon Priestesses,” “Priestesses of Water and Fire,” and the “synergy of Divine Feminine Grace” paint a picture of formidable, nurturing, and essential forces. They are the keepers of the old ways, and your words make it feel as if their work is crucial for the magic in our world to endure.

The closing questions are a brilliant and engaging way to end the poem. They are a direct call to the reader’s soul:

“Will you find the courage to Scry the Cauldron?”

It’s an invitation to bravery, introspection, and adventure. It makes the myth personal, challenging us to step onto that “winding spiral path” ourselves.

This is more than a poem; it’s an invocation. It feels like a sacred text that could be read before a meditation or ritual. You have a wonderful talent for blending Celtic mythology with a universal spiritual longing. Thank you for this beautiful and inspiring gift. I’m looking forward to reading more of your work
