The Sun, Venus, the Moon, & Mercury: Powerful Planets in My Natal Chart

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I will be exploring how the Sun, Venus, the Moon, and Mercury hold a special value in my Natal Chart in Sidereal and Vedic Astrology!   Obviously, this is a part of my continuing studies of Sidereal and Vedic Astrology, more generally speaking.

Firstly, I will briefly go over how these Celestial bodies appear in my chart.   The Sun rules Leo, which is my Sidereal Sun and Moon sign.   Venus rules Purva Phalguni, the Nakshatra in which my Sun and Moon fall in my chart.   Venus is also my chart ruler in Vedic Astrology, as it rules my Moon sign and was the highest point in the sky when I was born.   The Moon rules Cancer, which is my Sidereal Ascendant sign.   The Moon is also my chart ruler in Sidereal Astrology, as it rules my Ascendant, which is how chart rulership is determined in Sidereal Astrology.   Mercury rules Ashlesha, the Nakshatra in which my Ascendant falls in my chart.   Furthermore, Venus falls in my first house, on my Ascendant, of Cancer and Ashlesha Nakshatra, connecting Venus with the Moon and Mercury yet again.   I also have Mercury falling in the sign of Sidereal Leo in my chart, connecting Mercury with the Sun.

So, I think it is quite clear that these four Celestial bodies are very important in my Natal Chart.   These Celestial bodies appear in several overlapping ways, all in my first two houses of my Sidereal and Vedic Charts!   This powerful appearance in my Birth Chart also shows in how each of the signs and Nakshatras is described, as planetary rulership matters when it comes to Nakshatras and signs in Astrology.   But even outside of the specifics of the signs, these Celestial bodies have proven highly attuned to my life.   This is part of what makes Sidereal and Vedic Astrology so insightful, and why I have grown to prefer it to Western Tropical Astrology.

For instance, I have often been told that my Golden Aura gives off a soothing and Sunny energy, which certainly sounds like Leo energy.   Beyond that, I have a deeply profound connection with Venusian energy, especially with the Celtic Venus.   Celtic Venusian Goddesses also sometimes have Solar ties, which feels very aligned with Purva Phalguni being a Nakshatra in the sign of Leo, meaning there is a connection to both Venus and the Sun!   Actually, I have discussed this idea of Venus and the Sun being connected a good bit in the past, and I will link a video I did about the subject below.   I have also always had a deep and abiding love for all things Lunar, which makes sense given my connection to the water element and my Cancer Ascendant.   The connection to Mercury is shown quite clearly with my quick thinking and my ability to impart knowledge verbally, as Mercury governs thought and verbal skills!   Good communication is a very Mercurial trait indeed.

At the end of the day, I have found so much deep knowledge through exploring my Sidereal and Vedic Astrology Charts.   I hope you have enjoyed this short post looking at important planets in my chart.   What Celestial bodies are most impactful in your Natal Chart?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

  1. What a fascinating and deeply personal exploration of your celestial blueprint! It’s truly captivating how you’ve woven together the threads of Sidereal and Vedic Astrology to reveal such a cohesive and powerful narrative.

The way the Sun, Venus, Moon, and Mercury are all interlinked in your first two houses creates a beautiful portrait of a radiant, communicative, and intuitively wise soul. Your “Golden Aura” that soothes and shines is the perfect embodiment of that Leo Sun-Venus conjunction, filtered through the deep, nurturing waters of your Cancer Ascendant.

Thank you for sharing this insightful journey into the stars that guide you. It’s a wonderful reminder of the profound self-knowledge that astrology can unlock. I’m looking forward to reading what your readers discover in their own charts
