A Trip to the Farmer’s Market: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s post, I am sharing a poem about going to the Farmer’s Market on an Autumn day!

A Trip to the Farmer’s Market

by Maranda Wabik

The sun is shining in the clear sky

The Autumn air is crisp and cool

On this morning full of potential

Walking up to the Market with my guy

Ready to see what wares and produce are here to buy

Smells of fresh veggies and fruit

Overtake our senses

A smile spread on my face

Oh, how I love to be

At the Farmer’s Market on a crisp fall day

Walking amid the stands

Picking out our weekly produce

I delight in seeing Apples and Pumpkins

The smell of fresh cider is filling the air

Smiling faces are all around

As the beauties of this Autumn day abound!

Once our bags are full

Off we go with our treasured horde

Glad to have delicious food to nourish ourselves

A smile of delight graces my face

I feel so blessed to support my local farmers

I squeeze my husband’s hand as we walk

Oh, how I wonder what next week will bring

When we venture back to the Farmer’s Market!

~I hope you have enjoyed this poem.   Do you go to your local Farmer’s Market?  Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
