Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. Today’s Mermaid Monday post is about my work with Chalices and finding your own personal Ritual tools! Obviously, the Tarot Deck is one of my primary tools, and the one that I began working with first. However, another of my most profound Ritual tools is the Chalice, as I work so deeply with Water, and that is what I will be exploring in this post!
The Waters have called to me my entire life, with my Summers growing up being spent in Water as often as possible. I would feel drawn to spend my days at home in the pool, and my days on vacation at the Sea when I got to leave my landlocked state and go to the beach. This nature of being so deeply, profoundly, and innately connected with Water is what solidified that I have a deep connection to Mermaids. Over five years ago, now, close to six years ago, I had an intense Kundalini Awakening that showed me my Soul’s Origin. That is how I found out that I am an Incarnated Mermaid, which made my connection with Water make so much sense, after I got over the shock of the information! Of course, at first, I wondered if I was alone, but through research, I found that several other people have had these experiences of learning they are Incarnated Mermaids in one way or another.
Then this past year, I gained yet more understanding about my connection with Water by studying Sidereal and Vedic Astrology, as I have a very Water-heavy Vedic chart. And that leads me into my Chalice as an important Ritual tool. I have been using a Chalice in my Rituals and Spells for years now. It was the perfect vessel to hold a liquid to be imbued with intentions that can then be consumed to draw them into my own body! Now, I do want to note that when I use a Chalice as a Ritual tool, I am usually working with Water or with Wine, held within the Chalice. On other occasions, I will use a Teacup as another form of a Chalice to work with when I am doing Tea Rituals and Tea Leaf Readings! So, we can use the term of Chalice as a working tool during Rituals rather loosely. In fact, even bowls full of Water to scry into can work like a Chalice in this way as well. All of it comes down to my primary Ritual tools (outside of Tarot Decks), which are all about Water magick and my deep connection with Water, as even my Black Obsidian Scrying Mirror has a connection to Water as the oldest of Mirrors! Besides Water being the original form of a Mirror, you see, Obsidian is Volcanic Glass, which makes it fiery, yes, but also found on islands right near Water. It is pretty clear I was drawn to Chalices and Mirrors because of the Watery connection.
All of that being said, working with these powerful Ritual tools has definitely aided me on my own Magickal and Spiritual Journey. You may be wondering how to find Ritual tools that you gravitate to as much as I do to the ones that I have discussed here. I would personally suggest that when seeking out Ritual tools that will aid you in deepening your Spiritual Path, you begin by trying to work with tools that are aligned with an element you feel pulled to. Otherwise, you can just go into a Metaphysical Shop and feel out what Ritual tools are calling out to you! Sometimes beginning with just allowing a Ritual tool to call to you is the best way to find some of your most powerful Magickal tools. At the end of the day, finding your most profound Ritual tools is a process that takes time!
I hope you have enjoyed reading a bit about how I came about finding my primary Ritual tools. Are you currently looking to find your primary Ritual tools? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
