Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s blog post, I will be discussing the connection between the Aphrodite and Persephone Archetypes with the Sex Kitten Siren and Ingenue Seduction Archetypes!
This post is a bit of an elaboration on two posts I did a couple of weeks ago, one on the Simply Irresistible Siren Archetypes by Ellen T. White (where the Sex Kitten Siren is found) and the other on the 13 Feminine Seduction Archetypes by Ayesha K. Faines (where the Ingenue Seduction Archetype is found). However, this time I want to dive deeper into how I personally relate to these systems by discussing my own Archetypes in both systems and how they relate to my primary and secondary Archetypes in the Goddesses in Everywoman system by Jean Shinoda Bolen!
The Sex Kitten Siren and the Ingenue Seduction Archetype both mention Marilyn Monroe as a key famous example of this type of Archetypal energy, and Marilyn Monroe is certainly mentioned as having Aphrodite as her primary Archetype. Beyond this, the innocence of Marilyn’s heart and her sweetness that attracts more women to her story and her films in the modern day, show the Maiden energy (or Persphone energy) within. The whole idea of the Sex Kitten Siren is built on her innocence and sweetness, as she is welcoming and sexually open, but she is not aggressively sexual. This also rings true of the Ingenue Seduction Archetype, which is stated to be Lover primary and Maiden secondary Archetypes. The Ingenue is sweet, innocent, sexy, and alluring, but neither naive nor sexually aggressive, showing that she is not the extreme of pure nor the extreme of sexually forward.
To fully embrace the Sex Kitten and the Ingenue is to realize that you need not be overly assertive nor overtly come onto the object of your affection. The Sex Kitten and the Ingenue are profoundly receptive in the way they seduce; they want their lover to take the lead, while they delight in the feeling of being desired! Now, this can certainly be something that may rankle some modern people, as we have been taught that for a woman to be autonomous, she should take the lead, and the true worth and value placed on us is when we have success in previously male-dominated fields. However, that is not how a woman with the Sex Kitten or Ingenue Seduction style (or certainly the Persephone Archetype, but in many ways the Aphrodite Archetype, as well) finds her bliss, as she is not cut out to be competing with men to prove her worth. This type of woman is one who is hyper-feminine by nature, and she does not want to force things into being; she is open, and she alchemizes change via her receptivity after gentle actions to push her desires into being.
It is the softness, hyper-femininity, and open receptivity that show how the Ingenue is very comfortable existing in her true Divine Feminine energy, and she likely is attracted to men in their Divine Masculine energy (or really any person who feels at home in their Divine Masculine energy)! To be clear, she is not oppressed, and she is not subservient, as to be fully immersed in your most feminine nature is to honor and find the beauty in soft femininity. This type of woman is Sovereign and living in Authenticity, because being hyper-feminine is her innate truth! I know this to be true, as these are the Archetypes that are most active within my own personality! I find so much power in this type of Seduction Archetype and Goddess Archetype, as this speaks to the truth of my personality, I truly value and love being a woman, and I do not think that makes me less than other women who desire to compete with men; we are simply different types of women. I think the importance of Archetypes cannot be overstated, as they teach us to embrace our truths while simultaneously reminding us that there are several different types of people, and we must be empathetic to all of them. No one is better than anyone else, and we are all going to be the happiest when we do not conform to what society or other people insist we should be, instead finding our innate truth and living in Authenticity!
