Faery Masquerade: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s blog post, I will be sharing a poem about the allure of Faery revelries!

Faery Masquerade

by Maranda Wabik

Masks adorn the faces of the Fae

The sumptuous Ball

Is held in a decorated hall

This is the heart of the Faery Fete

A party that is a celebration of the Faery Queen

Held each year on this day

With many of the Fae blissful in their joy

Of celebrating the birth of the Queen

Whose joy is far from unseen

Round and round the dancefloor

The Queen is the center of attention

With countless Fae courtiers paying her mention

There is not much that is more fun

Than a Faery Masquerade

After all, do we not all love a good Ball?

~I hope you have enjoyed this poem.   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Note on Image: The image at the top of the post is a painting of a Venetian Carnival Mask by Paul Ygartua.   I found the art on https://www.ygartua.com/painting-venice-carnival-masks-paul-ygartua/.
