Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s blog post, I have decided to share my reflections on vending at my first event, the 2025 NEPA Pagan Pride Day Festival. When my husband and I arrived for set-up, I was delighted to see that we were assigned a spot in the middle of the event, a pretty ideal location to be seen!
The process of setting everything up proved to be easier than expected, only taking between twenty minutes and half an hour. It helped that I was providing a service rather than selling physical goods, as I did not need to set out my wares. I just had to put up my tables, put on tablecloths, put up my signs, and get my decks and cash box ready. I was really happy with the way everything looked when we had it set up, and also super glad to be next to a tree providing extra shade (besides that provided by the canopy we set up), as it is good to have extra shade with fair skin like mine (that and lots of sunscreen)!
Once I had set everything up, I sat and relaxed until the event started, and then I awaited my first client. Once I completed my first Reading, it was not long before I had a steady stream of clients! I honestly was pleasantly surprised by just how many Readings I did. The new clients I met were all very nice, and I am so grateful to have met each of those wonderful people. I was delighted to be of service to each of my clients, and I felt so blessed to be able to provide a safe space for my clients to express their emotions! This is truly a Sacred Priestess Service, and I got so much positive feedback from my clients, which really made my day. Getting to see the emotions on my clients’ faces and getting immediate feedback was lovely, as I got to see just how much my Readings resonated. That is my favorite part about doing in-person Readings! Of course, I also love doing online Readings, as they have the benefit of my having written feedback for each client, which means I can reread the emails and keep them forever. So there are positives to both online and in-person Readings. I just love that I have begun expanding my Priestess and Metaphysical Services in this way! While I will always be centered as an online business, I loved doing this event and definitely want to do more of them.
I want to finish by stating that I performed a total of 13 Readings for my clients at Pagan Pride Day, which is a good omen to me, given that 13 is my lucky number! By the end of the day, I had gotten to Priestess through Tarot Readings to 13 clients, and had made some great contacts with the other vendors and event organizers. It was truly a profoundly positive experience, one that is way better than I had even hoped it could have been. I look forward to doing more events of this type, and even possibly doing private events in the future! I was left feeling so grateful and buzzing with joy. I cannot express just how moved I was by having my first time vending at a festival go this well!
I hope you have enjoyed reading my reflections on NEPA Pagan Pride Day. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
