Gold Veils & Mermaid Tails

A Veil of Gold shining across my head

My long hair is covered by the Golden cloth

My bare feet are standing on the shoreline

Gazing out in awe, looking at the seabed

The waves beat against my toes in a froth

Feeling the sun against my skin is so sublime

The Sea calling me forth into her embrace

The Ocean teasing me, asking me to stay

My feet walk deeper and deeper

My long, thin gown becomes wet lace

Submerged in the depths of watery lay

I know that the Sea has become my keeper

For I will honor my Mermaid Soul

All of my days, until I meet the Reaper!
