Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.  For today’s Siren Saturday post, I am sharing my review of the book Encounters with Mermaids: Lessons from the Realm of the Water Elementals by William R. Mistele, which was originally published as Undines: Lessons from the Realm of the Water Spirits, but had been out of print until last year when it was re-released under this title!   I am delighted to have finally gotten my hands on this very important book, as I had wanted to read it for years, but, being out of print, it was hard to find or very expensive.

To begin, I have to say, WOW, was this an impactful reading experience!    William R. Mistele has such a deep and abiding reverence for not only the Water element but also the Undines, Mermaids, and Mermen that is present in every single page of this book.   Reading the book truly made me feel seen, as he described several experiences with Undines and Undine Queens, as they relate so much to many of my experiences communicating and communing with the Water Faeries and Mermaids.   Not to mention that his study and time spent with Incarnated Mermaids truly made me feel like I was not alone!

Reading the experiences he had with Incarnated Mermaids, the Undine Queens in the Astral Realm, and several Psychics and Mediums who channeled messages was beyond moving.   In the Appendix, he included his essay about the Traits of Mermaid Women and many of his discoveries made when working with Incarnated Mermaids.   He made sure to use countless quotes from Incarnated Mermaids discussing how it is to live in the human world, and it felt like I was reading many of my own assertions!   Of course, not every Incarnated Mermaid will feel the same things or have every single experience in common, but at least 80-90% of those quotes resonated with me on a very deep Soul level.   In the last chapters of the main book, he gave many quotes and bits of advice from the Undines, Mermen, and Undine Queens, which also held resonance.

I love that the book is not just one thing, as it gives the author’s own experiences, techniques to build relationships with Undines, Meditations, and exercises to draw closer to the Water element.   This is a book full of scientific knowledge, psychic knowledge, and has a lovely way of filling in the gaps between the two.   It is the ideal read for anyone who thinks they may be an Incarnated Mermaid, anyone who has a close loved one they believe may be of Mermaid origins, or anyone who (like the author) simply has a deep and abiding adoration for Water and the Undines!   While this is not written directly by an Incarnated Mermaid, the author has shared many stories of women who know they originated as Mermaids, making it such a fascinating read.
