Dancing Barefoot in the Garden: A Poem

Friedrich August von Kaulbach, Dancing Girls in the Garden–Bacchanalia, ca. 1908

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   Today’s blog post is a poem about communing with Nature!

Dancing Barefoot in the Garden

by Maranda Wabik

Barefeet in the grass of my garden

Honeybees are buzzing in joy to see my dance

The energy of the Faery Queens feels lovely

Deep communion with the Earth herself

Is putting me in a pleasant trance

As I prance and prance

In the beauty of my garden

Flowers are blooming

Birds are singing

And the Honeybees continue to buzz

The Faery Queen taps me on the shoulder

Asking to join in the enchanted revelry

I am so delighted and blessed

To be able to share this dance

With my beloved Faery Queen

In the luscious beauty behind my garden gate!
