Dancing with the Honeyed Queen of May: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   Today’s blog post is a poem about the lovely honeyed energy of the May Queen!

Dancing with the Honeyed Queen of May

by Maranda Wabik

Music playing softly amid the trees

Calls out to me as I wander in the Faery Forest

Closer and closer I draw near the grove

The music grows louder as I near its source

I can feel the heat of the bonfires amid the trees

Slowly and surely, I enter the grove with interest

Where I find myself in the midst

Of a raucous party

The May Queen is pouring out Honeyed Wine

To revelers at her Woodland Fete

She smiles when she sees me at the treeline

I am welcomed into the fold of Faery Maidens and Knights

The May Queen pours me a glass of wine

Asking me to join in on the dancing

The ideal way to honor the May Queen

Wine-fueled dancing is just the thing

To make you attuned to the Beltane energy of the May Queen!

Note on Image: The image at the top of the post is a lovely Beltane artwork.   I found the art on https://www.reddit.com/r/DigitalArt/comments/m9dmu4/beltane_a_pagan_festival_that_celebrates_the/?rdt=41931.
