Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. Today’s Tarot Tuesday blog post is about some of my favorite Tarot cards with Springtime energy! In this post, I will be sharing five Major Arcana Tarot cards that I think of as holding Spring energy. Without further ado, let’s get on to looking at these Spring Tarot cards!
THE EMPRESS (III)
~Obviously, I had to begin with the Empress, as I wrote an entire post last week about how the Empress Tarot Archetype is one of the most prominent Spring Tarot energies! The Empress is the abundant, prosperous, fertile, and magickal energy. The Empress in Spring is the Flower Bride, the Faery Queen who has made a marriage to the King to bless his rule as a Sovereignty Goddess and representative of the Land Made Manifest in physical form!
THE LOVERS (VI)
~There is the old adage ‘Spring is for Lovers,’ and that term, along with the idea of a ‘Spring Fling’ (a love affair associated with this season), is largely why the Lovers card holds so much Springtime energy! The balance of Feminine and Masculine energy is much needed for true fertility and creation that is so much aligned with Spring, making this an ideal Tarot card for this season.
THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE (X)
~Spring is brand new fresh energy and the blossoming of new beginnings, much like the upturn of the Wheel of Fortune! The Wheel of Fortune’s special reminder is that the Wheel will always turn back in the other direction. This reminder is also one that aligns with the changing cycle of the seasons, making it aligned with the liminality of one season turning into the next!
THE STAR (XVII)
~The endless hope of the Star is deeply aligned with the newness of Springtime energy! There is a soft innocence to this card that enhances my association with this card and Spring!
JUDGEMENT (XX)
~The Judgement card is directly aligned with renewal and rebirth, which is exactly what the season of Spring is all about! The Earth is reawakened from her Winter slumber and ready to blossom forth into new beginnings.
