The Vernal Equinox and Celebrating the Flower Bride

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   I want to begin by wishing everyone a very Happy Vernal Equinox!   Today is the day when the hours of light and hours of darkness are in equal measure, one of only two days in a year when that occurs (the other being the Autumnal Equinox, of course).    After today, we will firmly be in the time of the year when our hours of light outweigh our hours of darkness until the next time of equalization of light and darkness with the Autumnal Equinox!

This all means that it is the ideal day to really begin to celebrate the Faery Queens of Spring and deepen in with the energy of the Flower Bride (even though I honestly work with this energy all year round).    I highly suggest that everyone take some time today to get outside, whether you are lucky enough to be able to get out into Nature (the Forest, the Shoreline, etc) or just take a walk around your neighborhood!   It is a beautiful tradition to go out on the Vernal Equinox and see what the plant life looks like in your region.   Ask yourself, what is in bloom, what is just beginning to sprout, what can you smell in the air?

You can even turn a simple walk into a walking meditation to really focus in on the way you are feeling with the opening up of new beginnings in the time of deep renewal.   You can listen to the still, quiet voice within you.   Is this the voice of your Higher Self?   Are these voices of your Faery Guides and Guardians?   Is this the voice of Blodeuwedd?   Is this the voice of Guinevere?   Is this the voice of Rhiannon?   Or maybe it is the voice of Melusine?   No matter who the voice is, this is the calling of the Faery Queen, the calling of the Flower Bride, the calling of Mother Nature, seeking to be heard.   Now, the next question is, will you listen to the calling of Nature, the calling of your Soul?

Another thing to do to celebrate the Vernal Equinox is to begin tending to your Garden.   This can be doing the Spring Cleaning of the Flower Bed you keep around your house or readying to plant seeds outside (once it is warm enough to do so after the last frost).    This can also be done by planting seeds in pots in the hopes of growing new houseplants.    No matter what, planting seeds and tending plants can be used to sow the seeds of intentions of what you wish to accomplish throughout the rest of Spring and all of Summer.   What will the harvest of your Soul’s Intentions yield come Autumn?   This is the ideal time to really begin to set all of this into motion!   I do want to finish by briefly stating that any of your plans do not need to be done only today on the official Equinox, as the holidays are seasons, in turn.   We can celebrate the Equinox for a whole week, or sometimes more, so you can always fit in some celebrations this weekend at your convenience!   If you want to connect with the Fae Realms and the Faery Queens more deeply, you may also want to consider enrolling in my brand new seven-month-long online class, The Melusine Mysteries, which is open for enrollment until the 28th.

I hope you have enjoyed my brief ruminations on how to celebrate the Vernal Equinox and connect with the Flower Bride.   What are your plans for this Equinox?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Note on Enrollment: Enrollment for The Melusine Mysteries is still open.   Additionally, if you join my Patreon at any of the three paid tiers, you will get access to a coupon code that will give you $25 off the class price!
