Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   Today’s post is about Melusine as a Motherly energy and how she can aid us by protecting us.   The Mother Melusine is one of the seven aspects of Melusine that my students will be learning about and working with during my seven-month-long Online Faery Queen Immersion, The Melusine Mysteries (which opens for registration on Friday).

The seven aspects of Melusine do shift and merge with one another throughout her tale, as she is a Watery Faery Queen, with her Mermaid energy showing the ability to combine and ever-shift between all seven of her aspects.   However, each of her seven aspects can be worked with alone to gain a better understanding of Melusine as a Faery Queen Goddess, which is what we will be working with each month in The Melusine Mysteries!

Now, this is also how Melusine can literally be a Mother Goddess nurturing us throughout all of the time spent studying her Mysteries.   She can present the nurturing and loving energy with which to hold us, even as we explore all of her other aspects!   Melusine is the Guardian of the Arcane Knowledge that she holds, and I am blessed to be able to share her knowledge with my students, acting as a Guide and Teacher through an Odyssey into The Melusine Mysteries.   Melusine has, in many ways, mothered me throughout the process of creating The Melusine Mysteries.   She was always there to hold me in nurturance and assure me that I was on the right track, or gently guide me to make alterations to how I would present material.

Being held by this beautiful and nurturing Faery Queen Goddess, truly a Mother of Children, a Mother of Place, and a Mother of Faery Bloodlines, is a gorgeous thing.   In her legend, Melusine is stated to have borne ten sons to her husband Raymond, and through those sons, she is the Mother of Royal Bloodlines and Mother of Faery Bloodlines!   This is how her Mother aspect relates to her Ancestress aspect, as the Ancestress Melusine is in many ways the Ancestress of the Land and serves as the lasting legacy of how Melusine has been remembered.
