Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. Today’s Tarot Tuesday blog post is about Tarot Cards that hold Mars energy! As always, with these Tarot Archetypes and Planetary energy posts, I want to note that each of these cards can hold more than just the energy of Mars. It is part of the beauty of Tarot that we can see cards holding the energy of more than one Planet sometimes!
THE EMPEROR (IV)
~The first card that I thought of for Mars energy was the Emperor. Now, clearly, the Emperor also holds other cosmic energies, but I thought that the fiery and Warrior King’s energy of defending what is his fit very well with Martian energy!
THE LOVERS (VI)
~I have already listed the Lovers as a Venusian card, but it is also a card with Mars energy, as the sexual union between the two Lovers is very much the energy of Venus and Mars coming into balance! After all, the old adage of Men being from Mars and Women being from Venus does apply to the balance found in this card.
THE CHARIOT (VII)
~The Chariot is the card of forward momentum, success, victory, and championship. This energy is in line with Mars as a planet of War and Sexuality, as the Chariot is the victory over your opponents!
THE SUN (XIX)
~Obviously, the Sun card has Solar energy, but the heat can also relate to the fiery red planet. Plus, the Sun is associated with Masculine Sexual energy, as is Mars in Astrology!
KING OF WANDS
~The King of Wands is the fiery and passionate King. His energy of sexuality and artistic leanings hold the alignment with Mars as the planet of Masculine Sexuality!
SIX OF WANDS
~The Six of Wands is a card of celebration and victory, literally usually depicted as a Victory Parade. This victory in battle, and fiery energy, fit well with the energy of Mars!
KING OF SWORDS
~Finally, the King of Swords is a strategic King, so he is very logical, but he can put his knowledge to use to wage war. This Warrior King energy is what aligns him so nicely with Martian energy!
