Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. Today’s blog post is about following Rose Paths in spirituality, but looking at the topic from a very Faery and Avalonian point of view! In particular, I will be looking at how three different colored Roses can be utilized in magick and what they mean for a path steeped in that particular Rose color when living the Faery Lifestyle. I know this is a bit of an odd topic, but I thought it was an interesting one to cover right before Valentine’s Day, as it incorporates the energy of Faery Magick and Relationships together. Without further ado, let’s look at the three Roses you can follow on a Faery Path!
RED ROSE
~The Red Rose is often the first one that someone thinks of when they hear the word Rose. This is the Rose of Passion, Lust, Sexuality, and Romantic Love. The Red Rose Path is also just that, one full of fiery passions and Sacred Sexuality. This is a powerful path for those who need to reclaim their self-love, self-respect, or self-esteem after rough times. It is also a natural path for those who already work with Sacred Sexuality and Sex Magick as a cornerstone of their practice. In a Faery sense, the Red Rose Path is a reminder to always claim the inner wildness of your soul, but with the caution to not overdo it, as the wild path can lead to excess and addiction if not handled with care!
PINK ROSE
~The Pink Rose is most often associated with Sweetness, Youth, and First Love. The Pink Rose Path is also one of the sweetness and kindness shown to others and the youthful idealism of where the path may lead. This is a powerful path for those just coming into their own or someone very new to seeking a spiritual path, as this gentle Rose path is there to hold you in your youthful desires and your first feelings of love for your spirituality. In a Faery Sense, the Pink Rose Path is a reminder that we all are beginners throughout our lives, and those first steps into a new path come with many challenges, but it is only through taking those first steps with the optimism and hope of the Pink Rose that we can find success!
WHITE ROSE
~The White Rose is most often associated with Purity, Innocence, Immortality, and Eternal Love. The White Rose Path is also one of the Purity of Heart and True Innocence of Desire to walk your path with Sovereignty and Integrity, living from a place of balanced center. This is a very potent and powerful path for those who feel they are becoming adept in their chosen spiritual field or in their life paths. I find this Rose Path to be really deepening into both Enchantress and Priestess energies, as the White Rose is the ultimate communion with the Faery Queens! That is the true beauty of the White Rose Path in the Faery Sense, it is the path of devotion to the Faery Queens. It is this devotional and eternal energy in the White Rose path that is likely also why this is the Rose often most associated with Avalon in general!
