Enchanted Spirit Animal Guardians in My Life in 2025

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   Today’s blog post is my ruminations on the nine most profound Animal Spiritual Companions in my life currently.   I have written quite a bit about different Spirit Animals over the four years that I have been writing this blog.   So I have written about most of these Spirit Animals before, but I do love to ruminate on how connections to different Spiritual Energies evolve over time, which was why I wanted to write this post.   Now, without further ado, let’s look at the nine Spirit Animals most present in my life right now!

RAVEN (or Crow)~especially WHITE RAVENS

~The Raven is the messenger of the Otherworld, the bird who can transit realms with ease.   In particular, I feel pulled to White Ravens, as they are a rarity, with their rarity largely being because they are often misunderstood and ostracized within their own species.   That fact is something that sets White Ravens apart as the Ravens who are most relatable to those of us who have ever felt like outsiders in some way! Ravens also have a special place in my heart as being sacred to Morgan le Fay, and I associate White Ravens with Guinevere, seeing Morgan le Fay as the Black Raven and Guinevere as the White. Given that I am Priestess to both of these Faery Queens, it is obvious that this bird is very special to me!

OWL~especially WHITE OWLS

~The Owl is the bird of Knowledge and Wisdom, a fierce protector of Authenticity, emboldening us to live our truths and hold fast to our Sovereignty.   In particular, I feel pulled to White Owls, either Snowy Owls or White Barn Owls, as the White color gives a bonus Faery and Otherworldly energy to this beautiful bird! As a Priestess of Blodeuwedd, the love of Owls is quite obvious, given Blodeuwedd’s Owl form.

SWAN

~The Swan is the waterfowl often most associated with the air of regality.   She is the elegant and graceful bird that reminds me of the Swan Maidens and Swan Lake Ballet, both very beloved tales and species of Fae for me since childhood!

FOX~especially WHITE ARCTIC FOXES

~The Fox is the wily and cunning vixen of the Forest.   In particular, I feel pulled to the Artic Fox, or any White Fox, as once again the White color denotes a connection to the Otherworld and Faery in general!

RABBIT~especially WHITE RABBITS

~The Rabbit is the fertile, sweet, and innocent creature often seen hopping jovially around gardens.   In particular, I feel pulled to the White Rabbit, yet again, this is because of the connection to Faery and the Otherworld, as Faery Animals are very often White.   Of course, the White Rabbit of Alice in Wonderland is also a potent reason for this color of Rabbit being so close to me spiritually!

SEAL

~The Seal is the playful and sociable, loving and sweet, aquatic mammal.   Seals obviously remind me of my beloved Selkies, Faery Women of potent emotional resonance and beauty!

SNAKE

~The Snake is the Kundalini energy of the Feminine Sexuality.    I have long had a deep and abiding connection to the Snake due to my fascination with Snakes and the fact that I have been practicing Kundalini yoga for a decade now! Beyond that, Snakes have a special significance to Melusine, a Faery Queen to whom I am a Priestess, and about whom I am currently writing a class, which I hope to launch in a couple of months. Melusine’s Mermaid form is often described in old texts of her folklore to be Serpentine in nature, that she is a Snake from the waist down!

CAT~especially WHITE & BLACK CATS

~The Cat is one of my favorite animals, and I have long felt a deep connection to the feline energy.    Cats have such a deep connection to the Divine Feminine, making an obvious animal spirit guardian for those of us connected to the Faery Queens and Goddesses and anyone identifying as a Witch!

HONEYBEE

~Finally, last but certainly not least, the Honeybee is a lovely insect Animal Spirit Companion.   My deep connection to the Wild Green World and my nature as a Herbalist makes me have a deep and special resonance for pollinators in general.   I also adore honey and hold a deep connection to Venusian energy and I am a Priestess, which makes the connection to Honeybees even more so.   After all, Melissas in Ancient Greece were Priestesses of Aphrodite (and Diana in Rome), and the term Melissa literally translates to Honeybee!

~I hope you have enjoyed reading my ruminations on the top nine Animal Spirit Guardians currently most active in my life.   What Animal Spiritual Guardians are making themselves known to you?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
