Reflections on Teaching a Valentine’s Day Herbal Tea Blending Class

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   Today’s blog post is a reflection on the Valentine’s Day-themed Herbal Tea Blending Class I taught at the shop Phoenix Lane on Sunday, January 12, 2025.   I was so thrilled to be given the opportunity to teach another live, in-person Herbal Tea Blending Class, as it was the ideal way to kick off the New Year!

As with my previous reflection on teaching an Herbal Tea Class, I want to begin by thanking Phoenix Lane and all of my wonderful attendees for making this such a lovely experience!

Now, I want to share some of my thoughts and insights following the class.   Being that I had already done one of these events, this time, I felt much more confident in presenting my material, which is proof positive that getting out of your comfort zone is the way to grasp new opportunities.   It is also proof that practicing at these new opportunities will help better your skills in new fields.   In this case, teaching live in-person Herbal Tea Blending Classes has aided me in becoming a better teacher, and given me confidence in how I present my knowledge and materials to attendees of these events!   I have to admit that it was also nice to feel much less anxious than I had felt before the first class, given that I knew roughly what to expect.

Being a hopeless romantic, getting to do this Herbal Tea Blending Class with a Valentine’s Day theme was extra fun.   I got to tap into that Venusian energy which is so important in my own practice when writing the guidebook and choosing the herbs.   I also incorporated my own Priestess and Enchantress energy by writing up a short Herbal Tea Ritual for the guidebook that could be used by the attendees!   The crossover between the basic herbal knowledge and the magickal was much more prominent with this class than it had been with the first.

So, it is safe to say, that I cannot wait to do more of this type of event in the future.   I am so beyond grateful for how well this event went, especially as I got to have long talks with some of the attendees, making me even more excited to launch my Online Faery Queen Immersion on Melusine in a few months!   So, I want to end by saying that I am so delighted to have the courage to pursue new opportunities, as the willingness to try (even if you may stumble or fail) is what has helped me to do all of these new things.   I also cannot conclude this post without one last bit of gratitude, this time I need to say I am so grateful to my husband Andrew for all of his help and support!

I hope you have enjoyed reading this gratitude-filled reflection on my second Herbal Tea Blending Class.   What are you excited to try that is new to you this year?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
