Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s post, I am sharing the news that I have completed the Business Herbal Course at the Herbal Academy! This is such a big achievement for me, as it was 150 hours of study and took me a total of over nine months to complete. The Business Herbal Course at the Herbal Academy is an online self-study course, meaning that it is a great class to take that can be easily fit into any schedule as you pace out how you will go about working through the class. This self-study format worked well for me with this course, as I got to work on the class work and study around my schedule! That being said, I do want to note that I adore furthering my education and learning in both self-study-based formats and in more traditional formats with an instructor or teacher there to impart knowledge in a more structured way, as both are great ways to learn!
I chose the Business Herbal Course, as I knew after finishing Herbs of Avalon, taught by the amazing Suzanne O’Gara of Alchemy of Avalon, at the end of 2023 that I wanted to have herbal wares be a part of the business I was looking to launch. This class fit the bill to both prepare me for some deeper herbal knowledge and ready me to launch a business. And launch a business, I did! After I completed the first two units, providing much of the background knowledge of how to begin the steps of starting a business, I did a mentoring session with Suzanne O’Gara, and then filed my LLC paperwork.
As I navigated the early stages of getting my business up and running, I diligently worked through this course. The class did give me the courage to pursue this path sooner than I had originally intended, as reading through the lessons and doing the activities showed me that a lot of the things I had been doing in growing my blog could be entwined with my business quite naturally. I felt so inspired by the content that I gained the confidence to strike out and launch White Rose of Avalon as a business!
Of course, my business is a line of Enchanted Herbal Teas, which are directly herbal in nature, but my business is also the Metaphysical Services that I offer in Tarot Readings and Classes. So that sets my offerings apart from some other businesses, and that is the beauty of this Business Herbal Course, there is such a diversity of information. There is knowledge shared to help all sorts of Herbal Entrepreneurs find their footing!
I am so glad that I took this course and so grateful to have completed it. I am also incredibly excited to see where my Herbal and Metaphysical Business will grow into in time!
