Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. Today’s blog post is a short reflection about my first-ever live Herbal Tea Blending Class, which took place this past Sunday, December 29, 2024!
I was so beyond excited to have the opportunity to share my love for some of my favorite herbs during this live in-person class. Obviously, I was a bit nervous before the class, as it was the first time I had ever held an in-person class like this one, but as soon as the class began, all of my nervousness fell away, and I felt myself get into the groove of discussing the selection of herbs I had brought with me.
The class was held at the shop Phoenix Lane, and I want to thank Phoenix Lane for hosting my class, as it was such an incredible opportunity that I am very grateful for! As I mentioned above, I brought with me a selection of herbs and a handout I made about the herbs. The class was themed to help the attendees create their own Herbal Tea Blend for the New Year. I answered questions about how they could work with any intentions they were looking to call in for the New Year while mixing their herbs.
It was such a positive and eye-opening experience to get to share my love and passion for the plant world with others in person. I found it to be so rewarding to see the group of seven people enjoying the information I was sharing and getting excited to find which herbs would work best with their intentions for their blend! While this was a brand new experience for me, putting me slightly out of my comfort zone, I found that this is definitely something that I love doing. It is a reminder of just how important it is to take some risks in order to create positive changes in our lives. I could not be more delighted with how well the class went, as everyone who attended seemed so grateful for my help, which made me feel so much satisfaction with the work I had done!
I also got some useful feedback that will help me become a better teacher in the future, which is always nice. I truly felt so blessed that the class went as well as it did, as it went better than I had even hoped! The whole experience of teaching this class was so rewarding, and I was filled with joy and deep gratitude for the whole night after the class ended.
I want to end this reflection post with a giant thank you to everyone who attended the class! I hope you have enjoyed reading some of my thoughts about my first-ever live Herbal Tea Blending Class. What have you done recently to push yourself out of your comfort zone? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
