Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. This week’s Siren Saturday post is about spending your Saturdays reflecting on your dreams, your fears, and your recent experiences. As Sirens and Mermaids are Fae of the Waters, they are representative of the depths of our very souls. This means that Sirens and Mermaids are the perfect energy to draw upon in order to delve into our own depths!
This energy of reflection is enhanced by the fact that yesterday was a Full Moon in Taurus, and we are currently in Scorpio Season (and a supermoon at that)! Technically, the Moon is still full today, just not at 100%, so much of the Full Moon energy can still be worked with today. Let this serve as a reminder that we need not always do every ritual at the peak of a Moon cycle or season if we do not have the time or energy to do so! Scorpio energy is all about delving into the depths of Shadow and your own personal Underworld. The energy of Taurus is the Earthy energy of sensuality and practicality, providing a solid foundation for exploring the depths. That makes this a powerful time to call forth blessings relating to those themes.
So, how can we embrace the energy of the Full Moon and Sireny Mermaidy energy for today’s Siren Saturday? You can use the reflective energy of the Full Moon to enhance your Mirror Scrying sessions. If it is warm enough where you live, or the colder temperature outside does not bother you, you can even use the light of the Moon herself shining down instead of a candle flame to Scry with a Black Obsidian Mirror. This is a very lovely way to incorporate the Full Moon energy into your Siren Saturday practice. Journaling in the middle of the night on a Saturday is a great way to reflect on what is currently going on, especially if you meditate with a Faery Queen of a Watery Nature (both my beloved Melusine and my beloved Morgan le Fay are great for this) and then journal your experiences! Of course, I am also a huge lover of Bath Magick, so you can draw yourself a nice soothing warm bath and get into a meditative state, even better if your bathroom window gets some moonlight streaming in! Finally, I love to do extra divination techniques on both the New Moon and Full Moon, so even a Tarot reading focused on the energy of the Full Moon in Taurus and Siren or Mermaid energy is a very nice way to incorporate the energy of the Moon with Saturday practices.
