Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. This week’s Siren Saturday post is about Melusine and the Mirror of the Soul. You may wonder what I exactly mean when I say Mirror of the Soul. The Mirror of the Soul is the deepest part of ourselves, as it is the place where we can access our inner truths.
As we are in the Dark Half of the Year, post Samhain and before Yule, when the light will begin to slowly return, it is the time when we go within and Scry the Depths of the Mirror of the Soul. Melusine is a Mermaid Goddess of Avalon, a Lady of the Fountain, who tends the Sacred Waters and is Ancestress to many people, for her half-Faery bloodline persists. This makes Melusine our perfect guide to Scry the Mirror of the Soul and find out what truths we may have been hiding, even from ourselves!
As an Ancestral Priestess of Melusine, Her Daughter who has found that my Spiritual Path is deeply rooted in learning from my beloved Melusine and teaching Her knowledge. I have spent most of my October and Samhain Season working deeply with Melusine and communing with Her beautiful energy. As I have discussed quite a bit over the last month, I am also developing an Online Class about Melusine as an act of devotion and love in hopes of sharing Her beautiful energy with my students. I have been diligently working on this class for some time now, but I do not want to rush it, and I hope to have it released in the Spring!
Now, how do we Scry the Mirror of the Soul with Melusine’s guidance? That is actually something that can be achieved in several ways. We can do some deep Shadow Work Meditations focusing on Melusine’s energy, asking for Her guidance as we dive deep into ourselves. We can also literally Mirror Scry with a Black Obsidian Mirror, accessing the deepest parts of ourselves after calling in Melusine and making an offering (water or incense are both great choices). Finally, we can use other types of divinatory tools to focus on Melusine’s energy and ask for Her guidance as we make a list of Shadow traits and fears we are looking to release and burn the list in offering to Melusine. This will allow Melusine to aid you in alchemizing this pain into something new! Other good divinatory tools include Tarot cards, Oracle cards, and Pendulums, but use whatever calls to you personally.
