Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. Today’s Tarot Tuesday post is about some of my favorite Tarot cards that I associate with the Samhain season! For this post, I have not ranked these cards, as they are simply Tarot cards to work with during the season. I have also chosen five Major Arcana cards, as I find they have the strongest connections to the Wheel of the Year holidays. Without further ado, let’s look at five cards for Samhain season!
THE MAGICIAN (1)
~Obviously, the Master of Manifestation is the ideal card for the magick of Samhain! The Magician is the Divine Masculine in the Spiritual Realm, creating change through action. His magickal ways are a potent energy during this final harvest festival!
THE HIGH PRIESTESS (2)
~Again, another obvious choice for the Samhain season is the card of Divine Communion. The High Priestess is the Divine Feminine in the Spiritual Realm, channeling the Divine and communing with the spirits as the Veil is so thin! For anyone looking to do divination as part of their Samhain rituals, the High Priestess energy is key.
DEATH (13)
~This one is likely the ultimate, most obvious card for Samhain season, as this is the time when the Veil between life and death is so very thin. This is the card of ultimate change, as this one signals the death of things that no longer serve us to make space for better things. This is also representative of the season in nature, as all of the plants are dying off, and animals are readying for hibernation!
THE DEVIL (15)
~The Devil is the card that denotes a connection to the Wildness of our very souls. While many only see the Devil as the card of being bound by addiction, in truth, this is the card of embracing the Wildness within but doing so with intelligent moderation. The card stands as a reminder not to delve into excess, even when it would be easy to do so!
THE TOWER (16)
~Finally, I have to mention this card of cleansing destruction and sudden change. As we go into the Dark Half of the Year, it is an ideal time to confront our Shadows. The Tower is a great representation of confronting that which is painful, for as destructive as it is, this is very necessary to herald new growth!
