Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings. For today’s post, I have decided to write about my experiences attending a local Pagan Pride Day Event with my husband Andrew yesterday! I had such an awesome time going to this small local event at my favorite local park. They have not been holding Pagan Pride events in my area for very long, so I am always excited to attend them when they come around! After all, it is so important to support small businesses and those running businesses that are aligned with their spiritual paths. This is what I am building myself, so it feels good to see others succeeding at running small businesses that have some similarities to my own. I have found that there are some unique difficulties in building a business that is spiritual and herbal in nature, so getting to speak with others about this is a great feeling!
Other than that, of course, I did some shopping! I was able to collect a few new items that I just adore. I bought myself a small Green Woman piece for my altar. She is a lovely shade of Green with some Golden shimmer to her, that feels very mystical. I was also able to find a cute little ceramic mushroom that was handmade by an artist that will go perfectly with all of my Faery items on my altar. I got a new Oracle deck which I picked out by intuition! My new deck is Wisdom of the Wild Things Oracle by Angi Sullins with artwork by Evaboneva! Finally, most excitingly, I got a set of Witches Bells for the door leading into my library, which is also my office where I do all of my work for my business! The Witches Bells were made with the intention of relating to the Earth element and Growth, making them the ideal set for my new business endeavors. This is my first set of hanging Witches Bells, although I have had a handheld bell for years, and I ring it to sound cleanse regularly!
My husband Andrew also got a wire-wrapped Citrine pendant and had a Psychic reading while we were there. I was pleasantly surprised that he had as good a time as I did, as he does not often purchase things when we go to these events and fairs! While Andrew was getting his reading done, I spent time meditating and communing with the Trees in the park. I had such a great time just getting to be in nature feeling the rain in the air, as it was an overcast day and I could sense the oncoming rain!
