Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings.   This week’s Femme Fatale Friday blog post is a life update for me, Maranda, the Enchantress of Avalon.   So my announcement is that White Rose of Avalon, Enchanted Botanicals is coming soon!   That is right my dear readers, the physical goods that I said I wanted to start offering way back in January will soon be a reality.   I want to use this post as an opportunity to go over the brief timeline of how my new business has been growing over the last several months.   

So, the first thing that happened this year that contributed to my business was beginning my Business Herbal Course at Herbal Academy, which I started on March 17, right before the Vernal Equinox.   I spent the next months working through my class, and I am currently a little over a third of the way through the course, but the first two full units were all about prepping the early aspects of a new business!   Then on July 22, I had a Mentorship session with my amazing herbal teacher and mentor, Suzanne O’Gara.    This Mentorship session really helped solidify many of the plans I had been making over the past months.    I knew the products I wanted to offer, services I wanted to offer, and obviously have a thriving website already!   During this session, I got the answers to some of the specific questions I had about the beginning stages of making my business official.

Later on that evening, so still on July 22, I submitted my LLC paperwork, officially stating that I wanted my business to be named White Rose of Avalon LLC (what else could it have been).   On July 24, I got confirmation that my LLC paperwork had been filed, and I got my EIN (which is like a social security number for your business).    Then on July 29, I set up my business bank account, which finished the very basic things I knew had to be done for the business to function!   Now, I am currently getting my other accounts set up and getting my basic supplies in order to begin crafting and shipping my products.   Of course, that is why I am announcing my new business as part of my Lughnasadh weekend celebrations.

This has really all been like a dream come true!   I have my own business that I can launch the physical goods of very soon.    I know what my first products will be, I have a new logo design that I have to get made, and I was able to get my paperwork filed with little to no issues.   I also chose to describe my business as Enchanted Botanicals, now to be clear this is not my business name (as that is still White Rose of Avalon), but it is the tagline I can use to describe the types of wares I am offering!    I chose this phrase, in part, because I know that there are some issues with the usage of the term Apothecary, and I wanted to avoid any red tape.   However, that being said, I actually love the way Enchanted Botanicals sounds!

Now, what can you expect to see in the next weeks?   I will be changing the tagline of the website from its original ‘Where Legends, History, and Fairytales Meet’ to ‘Faery Living & Enchanted Botanicals’.    I will also be upgrading my website to add in the shop aspects, so you will get to enjoy a slightly revamped site that will still have all of the blog goodness with the added benefit of my business offerings!   I will be getting a new logo made for the business, so you will be seeing that change soon enough as well.    

I also have plans to continue to give updates here in blog form, and in vlog form over on my Enchantress of Avalon YouTube Channel all about the beginning stages of making my first herbal product line and how I am packaging and getting ready to ship my teas!   Teas will be the main type of herbal product on offer in the beginning, but I will expand over time.  I will also be including my Tarot Readings as part of White Rose of Avalon LLC, as the services I offer!   That means I will no longer be freelance Tarot reading, instead doing it as a part of my own business.
