Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings. Today’s post is another one about personal style and embracing my Kitchener Essence. In particular, I want to discuss not only fully embracing my Ethereal Essence, but also why my primary essence relates to my lifestyle in unique ways.
Some people may feel that their outward appearance, and therefore the styles of dress that suit them do not align with their personalities and lifestyle. That can certainly happen, and it is not fun to have to determine how to dress to express yourself and flatter your appearance when that occurs. However, I have the pleasure of having a primary Ethereal Essence, which fits my personality and my Faery Lifestyle! So, while my Kibbe body type does not align perfectly with my Essence, as Ethereal is something invented by Kitchener, I can easily feel very comfortable in my own skin by dressing for my Ethereal Essence. I am either a Romantic or Theatrical Romantic most likely in Kibbe, so that means that I am deeply Yin and Feminine in appearance in both systems!
So, what exactly goes into my believing that I have an Ethereal Essence? Firstly, there is how people tend to describe me. I always get references to my looking like an Elf, Faery, or Mermaid. My husband often refers to me as looking like a Mermaid or an Elf. I also get references to my looking like an Elf from friends and co-workers. Many people also tell me that I resemble dolls, as I currently work in a Thrift Store as my day job, I often get told by co-workers that the porcelain dolls that come in look like me! Not to mention, I cannot count the amount of times that I have been compared to a Fairytale character. Due to my pale skin and my dark hair, I am most often compared to Snow White. Some people even are incredibly emphatic about calling me Snow White!
When I look at the aspects of my face that may give me the Otherworldly and timeless appearance so intrinsic to the Ethereal Essence, my eyes and nose prominently align with this. My nose has an upturned Elf-like energy, with my even noticing that the newest Faery I added to my collection, an Elf doll who has been named Alyce, has the same nose as me. When I realized that, my husband stated ‘Yea, obviously you have an Elf nose’. My eyes are large and very expressive, making people compare them to being doll-like. It is those two features, likely above any other, that express my Ethereal Essence! Ethereal Essence has an ageless quality that is both youthful and also often of indeterminate age, making it difficult to tell how old you are, lending to a timeless quality. In fact, another aspect of Ethereal Essence is not just Otherworldly in looking like you are a living Doll or a Faery Being, it is also looking like you would fit in long-ago times, which is why timelessness is so entwined with Ethereal Essence!
When I dress in alignment with my primary Ethereal Essence, it looks so at home on me. This way of dressing is very much Faery, Elvish, Mermaidy, and Witchy. I tend to be attracted to flowing fabrics, floral prints, leafy patterns, lace, chiffon, and velvet. I think this also relates to the colors I chose and those that look most at home on me. I wear tons of Green, Purple, White, and Black, with people telling me that Green is my color! These colors in general give a timeless and Faery vibe when they are worn.
At the end of the day, it is very fun to get to know how our style can make us look most at home in our own skins. Exploring my style through both personality and essence has been a fascinating pastime over the last few years. I hope you have enjoyed this little exploration of my primary Ethereal Essence.
