Guinevere’s Lead: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings.    Today’s post is a poem about traveling to Faeryland with a trusted Faery Queen Guide and Guardian!

Guinevere’s Lead

by Maranda Wabik

Guinevere takes my hand

For she will lead me to Faeryland

Past the groves of Camelot

Into the dense forests of Broceliande

Sparkling stars alight

On this Full Moon’s night

Guinevere tells me that I have the Faery Sight

Barefoot we both wander

Past trees of Apple, Elder, and Hawthorn

Full of Blooming Flowers

Yet also Fruiting at the same time

This is the first sign

We are no longer in Camelot

No longer in Broceliande

We have truly entered Annwn

The thought of ever leaving this Enchanted land

Feels much too soon!

Voices echo from the trees

As I see that Guinevere has led me to meet

The other Faery Queens

Morgana, Blodeuwedd, Rhiannon, Branwen, and Arianrhod

Welcome us to their Frolicking Faery Fete!
